It's an oriental fungus that grows in various hot and humid locations in Asia, and has been used for promoting health and longevity for years in China.
It is a dark, large mushroom with a glossy surface and a woody texture.
In Chinese, the name lingzhi represents a unity of spiritual potency and essence of immortality, and is treated as the “herb of spiritual potency,” symbolizing success, well-being, divine power, and longevity.
Ganoderma lucidum is a popular supplement taken by healthy individual assist in boosting the immune system. The fungus is rich in anti-oxidants and it's antioxidants were found to be absorbed quickly after ingestion.
